Start with the intended use
An everyday layering piece, a bridal gift and a performance accessory may share a color, but they do not necessarily need the same structure. Define the wearer and the use before choosing the mechanism.
Compare the whole piece
Look beyond the front photograph. Review the inside, the opening or clasp, the tail length and the points that touch the wearer. Ask for views that make those differences clear.
Write a usable sample brief
State the reference, intended fit and preferred structure. Record any essential changes. An approved physical sample is the basis for agreeing final dimensions and construction.
